Youve not only put in the sweat equity, but youve invested emotionally and envisioned yourself at a particular school, otherwise, you wouldn have applied to a binding opportunity. We understand it a tough blow. But we also want you to keep in mind that college admissions are incredibly competitive. The acceptance rate for Brown is just 5%. So, the fact that you didn get into Brown ED does not mean you should rule out all of the other Ivies or other similarly competitive schools. How to Transfer to Amherst

Amherst College is a small liberal arts school located smack dab in the middle of Massachusetts. Amherst (the town) is peak college town vibes, with Amherst College, UMass Amherst, and Hampshire College all packed into 27 square miles. In addition to Amherst classes, students can take classes at UMass Amherst, Hampshire, or the nearby Smith College and Mount Holyoke College. Amherst is known for a totally open curriculum no core classes to mess with. Theyre also known for having an academic culture in line with the Ivy League, and they have the admissions stats to back it. In 2022, Amherst acceptance rate was 7.25%, and their transfer acceptance rate was 6%. To put it more plainly, 503 people applied to transfer to Amherst in 2022, and only 30 were admitted.

How to Get into Bowdoin

Bowdoin College is a small liberal arts college in Brunswick, Maine. Bowdoin is popular for its STEM programs and historic campus. Bowdoin is part of the Colby-Bates-Bowdoin Consortium, an athletic conference and interlibrary exchange with Bates College and Colby College (you probably called that one,) sometimes also called the Maine Big Three. Bowdoin location is quintessentially Maine as it located near both the Casco Bay and the Androscoggin River. Outside of their main campus (pun!), they also own a coastal studies center on Orr Island and a scientific field station on Kent Island.

How to Transfer to Barnard

Barnard College is a women liberal arts school located in NYC, as one of the colleges contained within Columbia University. So, it not Columbia, but it not not Columbia. But your degree does say Columbia on it. It a whole thing. It small, with less than 4,000 undergrads, but you share resources, sports teams, Greek life, libraries, and dining halls with all the Columbia undergrads too. You can also take classes at Julliard!
